POLICY (Revenue for Capital Projects)

School facility capital projects are paid for with taxes and fees from various sources, depending upon the state. The funding sources for capital projects may be local or state property taxes, sales taxes, fees, or other revenue streams as determined in state law.

There has traditionally been extremely limited federal funding for facilities. Tax credits have been the most significant form of federal support.
