Baltimore City School Construction Bill Passes
In early April, the Baltimore City School Construction and Revitalization Act of 2013 was approved by the Maryland House of Delegates after being passed by the Senate. With the signing of this bill, the State, Baltimore City, and Baltimore City Public Schools will contribute a total of $60 million in funds annually to leverage $1 billion in revenue bonds to implement Phase I of the city school system's 10-Year Plan which will include 15 new schools and 35+ major renovations.
